On Thursday evening, February 22nd, 2024, the Rose Theatre was filled with excitement and musical vibes at the Flavours and Vibes event, brought to you by Jones and Jones. The lineup featured some incredible performances, including Kairo McLean, Omega Mighty, The Human Rights, and headliner Jesse Royal from Jamaica. The night was hosted by the charismatic MC Bonde and DJ Joshua Lucas, setting the stage for an unforgettable experience.
One of the highlights of the evening was Kairo McLean’s performance. The young artist took full advantage of the stage, delivering a high-energy performance that had the audience on their feet. His DJ style, combined with familiar riddims, showcased his talent and charisma, explaining why he is the youngest Juno award winner of all time.
Omega Mighty’s performance was nothing short of mesmerizing. Her smooth dance moves and radiant presence captivated the audience, creating a magical moment on stage. The Human Rights Band delivered an exceptional performance, with the saxophone players adding a unique flair to their sound. Their positive vibes and infectious energy resonated with everyone in the audience.
The highlight of the evening was, of course, Jesse Royal’s performance. As soon as he took to the stage, his presence was felt throughout the theatre. Starting with his hit track “Morning,” he had the crowd on their feet, singing along to every word. He also performed his new track “Blessing,” singing Yohan Marley’s part and encouraging the entire audience to join in. “Modern Day Judas,” one of his all-time favorite tracks, was a highlight of the night, drawing the audience in with its powerful message.
Despite some minor audio issues with the mic, all performers did an incredible job of connecting with the audience and delivering an unforgettable night of music. Jesse Royal and his band made it a night to remember, leaving everyone in attendance with memories that will last a lifetime.
Lady Sharon and I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of the Flavours and Vibes event at the Rose Theatre. From the energetic performances to the positive vibes, it was an evening filled with incredible music and unforgettable moments. We look forward to attending more events like this in the future.
